Oversaw successful 2012 SACSCOC reaffirmation process resulting in no recommendations.

Reviewed standards on Mission, Institutional Effectiveness, College-Level Competencies, Faculty Evaluation and Consortium Relationships, Quality Enhancement Plan. Drafted narrative for On-and Off-Site Reports.

 

Higher Education Appointee, Planning Accreditation Board (PAB) Chair, Standards Committee. Member, Site Visit Committee. Review planning programs for compliance with accreditation standards. Review implementation of new standards for consistency of application at all levels of review. Conduct presentations and workshops on student outcomes assessment.

 

Public Member, Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education Chair, Quality Committee. Served on Commission during preparation for establishing CHEA eligibility. Provided in-service education on student learning outcomes assessment.

 

Public Commissioner, Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE), Commission on Accreditation Vice Chair of Commission, Chair of Research and Evaluation Committee. Wrote Commission’s Research and Evaluation Plan, conducted study on reliability and validity of Commission Standards and measured inter-rater reliability of self-study review process. Oversaw the development of student learning outcomes assessment for the MACTE Standards and developed guidelines and training modules to assist accredited programs in documenting compliance with requirements. Chair, Distance Education Committee (ad hoc) Conducted a survey of accredited programs analyzing the need for changes in standards to accommodate emerging use of distance education. Conducted analysis reduced fee policies. Assisted in writing Petition for Recognition to the U.S. Department of Education.. Represented Commission in testimony to the National Advisory Committee on Institutional Quality and Integrity, U.S. Department of Education.
